Our 2015 Spring Book Sale Dates will be March 20-22
Our Spring Book Sale dates will be a little earlier so that in April, the Friends of the Library group can better focus on celebrating National Library Week, April 12-18. This year the American Library Association urges us to remember the, “Unlimited possibilities @ your library®.”
Set up for the book sale will be Thursday March 19, from 7-8:30 p.m. and our sale clean up will be Sunday, March 22 from 4-5:30 p.m. -with pizza! We always provide snacks and drinks, and volunteers who help us set up the sale get a free sneak peek at the books!
We still need some extra tables and volunteers, so email us or contact Merit at 293-3477 to let her know you want to help.
Members Get 50% Off Throughout the Sale
Anyone can join at the door, and when you do, you will receive our special members’ discount of 50% off all our regularly priced books.
Membership in the F.O.L. supports our library and deserves rewards. This special is in lieu of our previous “Member’s Preview Night” which required our members to be at the sale on a particular evening- many were not able to take advantage. We decided members deserved extra time to shop, as well as extra savings.
Be sure to let us know how you like our changes!
We Hope to See You For Our Sale:
Friday, March 20, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturday, March 21, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Sunday, March 22, 1- 4 p.m.
A special $3 “fill-a-bag” sale will be held from 3-4 p.m. on our last day- Sunday March 22. We provide the bags.
You can also help your community and library by donating books- you can drop them by anytime! (371 North Main Street, Mocksville)
Members Who Are Teachers Get the 50% Discount- Plus $1 Off Annual Membership
We are especially interested in replenishing our stock of children’s books. Many teachers shop our sale in order to supply their classrooms with supplemental reading materials and we always are sure to give them a great deal.
Teachers receive $1 off the individual membership fee and can join for just $4…you can purchase a membership for a teacher at our sale, as well.
We donate many of the books we receive to other community groups as they need them, so you can always be sure that the books you are done reading will go on to be well used and well-loved by others!
We are a 501c3 organization, so let us know if your donation requires a receipt.
Don’t forget to contact us if you have a little time to help with the sale, or with set up and clean up!
Our volunteers make things happen!
